In an effort to facilitate and promote business between the two mining centers, on October 16 2014 Proflight will launch its new route from Ndola in Zambia to Lubumbashi, the second largest city in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
The new route will operate three times a week with a Jetstream 32 aircraft and fares starting at approximately ZMW 2,682, including taxes.
“Proflight Zambia recognizes the needs of business people in the region and therefore we are pleased to facilitate the ongoing commerce, trade and industry connections between Zambia and the DRC,” said Philip Lemba, Proflight Director of Government and Industry Affairs.
Proflight Zambia, which was established in 1991, is currently the Zambia’s leading scheduled airline with flights from its base in Lusaka to Livingstone, Ndola, Kasama, Chipata, Mansa, Mfuwe, Solwezi and Lower Zambezi, as well as to Lilongwe in Malawi and an additional route to Kafue National Park, the largest national park in Zambia, anticipated to launch next year.
