Lafarge Zambia Launched Shared Service Centre and Training Centre

Lafarge Zambia launched its Shared Service Centre (SSC) Offices and Training Centre (TC) in May 2015 at the Lafarge head office, Chilanga.

The launch was witnessed by the Deputy Minister of Justice and Area Member of Parliament of Chilanga, the Chief Executive Officer of Lafarge Zambia and the Chief Financial Officer of Lafarge Zambia.

The SSC is a customer oriented business model driven by continued process improvement through the delivery of best services at least cost.

The Chief Executive Officer of Lafarge Zambia, Mr. Emmanuel Rigaux said at the launch that “the SSC and the TC would create a new working environment for support functions and would improve internal and external customer experience through the adoption of best practices.”

The Chief Financial Officer of Lafarge Zambia, Mrs. Chrissie Moloseni mentioned that “there were currently 14 SSCs in the Lafarge Group and the new SSC offices will house Procurement and Accounts under one roof.”

The Deputy Minister of Justice and Area Member of Parliament of Chilanga Hon. Keith Mukata commended Lafarge Zambia for launching the SSC, which was focused on promoting customer satisfaction and business growth.

Lafarge Zambia is the main supplier of building materials and constructions solution provider in Zambia with over 1000 employees and contractors.

Lafarge Zambia has a production capacity of 1,300,000 tonnes cement per annum.
