Effective immediately, the Board of the Zambia Development Agency (ZDA) has appointed Patrick Chisanga as Director General with the special assignment of turning around, re-engineering and transforming the ZDA to promote and facilitate trade and investment across all sectors.
Hon. Chisanga is a prominent consultant in Corporate Governance who has taken over as Director General from Andrew Chipwende, who has managed the ZDA since it first became operational in 2007.
The Board of the ZDA has expressed confidence in their decision citing the 30 years of experience in the public and corporate sectors of Zambia that Hon. Chisanga brings with him to the post.
“He brings to the table appropriate professional qualifications, strong leadership qualities, organizational skills and other competencies required to take ZDA to another level,” said Songowayo Zyambo, ZDA Chairman of the Board, in a released statement.
The Zambia Development Agency was established in 2006 and is responsible for fostering Zambia economic growth and development through the promotion of trade and investment opportunities and an efficient, effective and coordinated private sector led economic development strategy.
