The Zambia Development Agency (ZDA) has announced the Invest in Zambia International Conference (IZIC), scheduled to take place from 16th to 18th July 2025 at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre, Kenneth Kaunda Wing, in Lusaka.
This inaugural event, hosted under the patronage of the President of Zambia, is set to become an annual platform for fostering investment and economic collaboration.
The three-day conference will bring together 500 local and international investors, business leaders, funds, and philanthropies to explore Zambia’s vast investment potential.
The event will feature thematic presentations, dialogue sessions, and exhibitions, all aimed at positioning Zambia as a preferred investment destination and fostering joint ventures between local and international stakeholders.
Speaking at the launch of the conference, ZDA Director General Albert Halwampa highlighted the importance of the event in attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) and driving economic growth. “We want to make sure we work with our partners and the private sector to make this happen. The inaugural international investment forum will be held annually going forward, serving as a knowledge hub for the world to engage with and discover Zambia,” he said.
The conference will focus on several key objectives, including:
- Showcasing Zambia’s readiness for foreign direct investment.
- Promoting local products for international markets.
- Highlighting Zambia’s untapped potential in sectors such as agriculture, mining, energy, and ICT.
- Facilitating joint ventures, partnerships, and business linkages that translate into tangible transactions.
- Recognizing private sector contributions to economic growth through the Investor and Exporter Awards.
The event will also feature success stories from established investors in Zambia, inspiring further investment and collaboration.

The IZIC will host exhibitors from a wide range of sectors, including agriculture, construction, transport, energy, mining, pharmaceuticals, ICT, manufacturing, health, tourism, and education.
