Zambian Property Development Company To Build 4,000 Housing Units In Kazungula

The Government of Zambia has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the property development company Leedsfit Holdings Zambia to build 4,000 new housing units and ancillary facilities in the town of Kazungula in Zambia’s Southern Province.

According to the District Commissioner Pascalina Musokotwane, the groundbreaking ceremony for the project will take place next month and will be officiated by the newly elected President Edgar Lungu.

“As you can see, we have kick-started the project and I can boast that this has been done within the few days of the new President in office,” she said, “The project has already been awarded to Leedsfit Holdings Zambia Limited and now we are waiting for […] the ground breaking ceremony next month,”

The proposed ancillary facilities are expected to include a healthcare unit, court house, bus station, municipal buildings, fire station, market, secondary school and parking facilities along with the planned 3,000 residential units for public servants and 1,000 for private individuals.
