Atlas Mara To Invest USD 100 Million In Zambia

Atlas Mara Co-Nvest Limited (Atlas Mara), a financial services holding company with a strong focus on the African continent has announced on August 26th 2014 at a media briefing in Lusaka that it would invest USD 100 million in the Zambian economy.

The group will inject the funds in the Zambian mining sector and other key sectors of Zambia’s economy such as agriculture, tourism and manufacturing, through the recently acquired BancABC.

Speaking in Lusaka, Atlas Mara Chief Executive Officer John Vitalo said the group would also provide capital for business entrepreneurs.

In addition to Zambia, Atlas Mara has operations in Africa in Botswana, Mozambique, Tanzania and Zimbabwe.

The company recently listed at the London Stock Exchange (ATMA:LN) raising USD 325 Million.
