Travel Media Association of Zambia Formed To Better Market Tourism

The Travel Media Association of Zambia has been formed to market the country as a leading international tourist destination to international travellers.

The association, formed with the support of the Society of American Travel Writers (SATW) is aimed at promoting Zambia tourism as a key sector to the country’s economic growth.

The Travel Media Association of Zambia appointed President is Brian Matambo, a consultant to the Tourism Board of Zambia (TBZ).

The association is urging journalists to increase coverage of the Zambian tourism offer on the internet with personal blogs in additional to articles in national newspapers.

For this the association has organized training for journalists on best practices in online journalism including the best use of social media.
